About Us
The Nimchuk Equine Foundation was started by Dr. Linda Watson in 2021. Linda was in love with horses since the day she was born. In 1993, Linda owned her first horse, a Thoroughbred named Terra, and at that time was made aware of the plight of many of America’s horses. Linda decided then and there to open up a horse nonprofit. It took some time, from 1993 to 2021, but now Linda’s dream is to help as many horses as possible through her nonprofit. Rather than opening her own horse rescue, Linda decided that there are plenty of good rescues in need of funds so it was more crucial to form a fundraising organization to help these existing rescues.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and 100 percent of funds raised by Nimchuk Equine Foundation is donated to horse rescues or to aid horses directly.
